My daughter (7 Years old) came home from school and told me that her class was celebrating St. Patrick's day and she had green marshmallows (lime flavor). She loved them. Well I was a little concerned (marshmallows have always been in question, at least for me, I could never find a straight answer as to whether they are gluten free) so before I could ask her she said, "mom they said gluten free right on the package!" So I had to go to the store, and guess what? She is right, wow. COOL!
Walmart brand marshmallows do indeed say gluten free right on the package. I have noticed Walmart is coming to the gluten free party. I do know they are starting to carry a bunch more GF products. VANS brand crackers, granola, frozen waffles, Udi's bread and Tyson GF chicken nuggets and strips. YAY!
SO for those who have been missing out on smores or rice crispies treats.... not missing any longer.
For rice crispies they have GF rice Crispies and the recipe is on the box!
For Smores we use plain Hershey chocolate or Dove chocolate and "smorables by kinninckinick (graham crackers) SO GOOD!
Have a great start to spring!
